My Story & Why I Do This

From Smoker to Empowering Change
"I'm having the time of my life watching the reactions when the session ends and you realize you truly are free for the first time in years! It brings a smile to my face and sometimes we even a few have tears of joy!!"
We all have our stories and mine may not be so different from yours. I began smoking at the age of 14 when an adult neighbor took me and several friends out to a nearby lake and dared us to light up. It changed my life and not in a good way. We thought we were so "cool." I even thought it relaxed me, but in reality it only made me feel worse. Stealing cigarettes from my mom was a daily thing. I never thought about quitting until I was preparing to be a mom, but other times after that were so bad that I didn't know myself. The stress from cold turkey was awful so I lit up again and again. I even ended up in the ER with nicotine poisoning from the patch (it's pure nicotine). In 2003 I came down with bronchitis which went on for over 3 months. A friend at work noticed my constant coughing. She quit with hypnosis and suggested I visit her "guy." I laughed at first, thinking it was going to be like a Vegas entertainment show but I made the appointment anyway. I was desperate. I went, I walked out a nonsmoker, but still had challenges because he didn't address my personal habits and triggers. It was a walk in, talk for a few minutes, do the hypnosis, and walk out. About 4 months later I drank two glasses of wine and thinking I could smoke just one. I took a puff, coughed, put it out but I was back to smoking full time within a week. I actually prepared myself for that second session, knowing my triggers, my habits and what could get in the way of long term success. I had to educate the hypnotist on what I personally needed. Paying for a second session could have been avoided if he had me do some insights into my habit before I went the first time. Fortunately he was open to integrating that info into that 2nd session. That was 22 years ago and I haven't craved smoking since.
Let's meet and get started when "Experience Matters"
Personal Life? When I'm not in my office you can find me hiking the many trails and exploring the nature that Arizona offers. My new love is my RV and the many nature-filled journeys I've discovered in our amazing America. Many of the photographs on the website were taken on my recent drive along the coast of California, Oregon and Washington State.
I'm originally from Columbia, Missouri and moved to Arizona in 1988. I have been living in Glendale, AZ since 1990. I'm the mom of three amazing sons and three incredible grandkids and my 16 year old cocker spaniel rescue, Jasper.
Thank you for taking this first step in creating a healthier and tobacco free future.
